Rishikesh
This spritual town is known as "Rishikesh" i.e. the place of sages
Rishikesh is situated at a distance of about 24 Kms. from Haridwar. Rishikesh is called the starting point for the Char Dham yatra.It has more importance among piligrims because it is situated at the confluence of the holy river Ganga and river Chandrabhaga.Rishikesh is also a favourate destination of foreigners who are interested in Yoga and Meditation
Chila is a part of Rajaji National Park and it is situated at a distance of 8 kms. from Haridwar on the bank of River Ganga.
This wild life sanctuary is a very good place for animal and bird watchers .The species which can be found here includes elephants, deers,peacockes,blue bull,fox,stag deer,spotted deers ,porcupine and migrated birds species in the season time.
Sapt Rishi Ashram
Also named as sapt sarovar this place is an ashram which is situated on the way to Rishikesh .The river Ganges flows in seven streams in front of this Ashram, that is why it is also called Sapt Sarovar.
Rajaji National Park
Rajaji National Park was established in the year 1996 on the edge of the Dehradun valley This place is a perfect place for wildlife lovers because this park coves an area of approx 820sq.kms.with a variety of animal such as Tiger, Panther, Bear, Chital, Sambar,Elephant, Wild Boar, Kakar, Python, Snakes, Monitor lizard etc. alongwith a large variety of avian fauna.
