With the opening of the portals of Badrinath temple on Tuesday at 4.00 A.M early in the morning, CharDham Yatra has started. Nearly ten thousand devotees witnessed the opening ceremony and “The Akhand Jyoti”. It is said that those who visit Badrinath with pure heart get salvation. Devotees take bath in the “Tapta Kunda” ( Hot Water Pool ). Situated on the right bank of Alaknanda river and then offer Pindadan at Brahma Kapali on the right bank of Alaknanda river situated at a hight of 3133 metre from sea level, the grand temple of Badrinath was made by Shankarachariya in 8th century. Portals of Gomukh, Yamunotri and Kedarnath had already been opened early. Now Yatra for hemkund sahib and valley of flowers is to start in the next month.
